Short twisted whole leaves offering a mixture of woodbark-like tones, olive green flecks and slight silvery buds. The dry leaves give a high, herbal aromatic sweetness, the wet leaves open to give a vegetal and sweet, almond aroma. The tea soup is quality with a bright amber cup. The taste has a fresh flavour with light camphor notes.
First flush, Harvested in Spring '19, and skilfully processed. Highlands Garden is a subsection of the larger Longview Tea Estate. The tea estate itself, is located near the slopes of the Himalaya ascend over looking the Terai Valley close to neighbouring tea gardens Rohini, Castleton, Ambootia, Singbulli and the Balason river. Its location is beneficial for an early spring harvest. The tea plants grow surrounded by a unique flora & fauna, with its production cycle following the lunar calendar and biodynamic principles.
