Earl Grey / / OP
Scented Black Tea Blend
A light and flowery brew full of zesty flavours.
Here you have our very own recipe Earl Grey, a fine centrally high grown Ceylon delicately scented with natural, organic bergamot oil and decorated with a mix of colourful cornflowers. We are especially excited to be using Cornflower petals grown in Devon! All blended by hand in small batches here in our Devon workshop.
Traditionally a drink to accompany Afternoon Tea, this one is an especially good companion for a plate full of little cakes.
Brew Guide Per Cup:
Tea 1 teaspoon (3g)
Water 100*c // 300ml
Brew time 2-3 minutes
Reinfuse leaves to personal taste

Earl Grey the man was Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, 26th British Prime Minister seeing in the Reform Act of 1832 and the abolition of slavery in the British Empire in 1833, he was also father to 17 children and lover to the Duchess of Devonshire as well as tea hero. Supposedly the now famous recipe was first created to offset the preponderance of lime in the local water at his home in Northumberland.
