Large twisted and curled leaves, dark in tone with a good proportion of quality golden tippy downiness and an even distribution of Osmanthus petals. Offering a golden tea soup that is rich and thick tasting, giving a smooth malty flavour with caramel notes and floral fragrance, leaving a deep sweet aftertaste. The old growth trees providing the finished tea with a quality of original character closer to flavour of ancient times.
Grown at an elevation of 1950m. Harvested from 200-300 year old tea trees of the Yunnan (Da Ye) Big Leaf cultivar in early Spring ’21. The tea trees growing slowly and naturally around the banks of the Lancang River benefitting from the clean surrounding forest environment.
Brew Guide Per Cup:
Tea 1 teaspoon (3g)
Water 85-90*c // 300ml
Time 2 - 3 minutes
Reinfuse leaves x 2 to personal taste
