Short, deep green, flat pressed and steamed leaves. A most pleasing bright to pale green cup. Fine aromas of buttery, pear and grassy notes. Savoury hints and green grassy notes to taste. With a long lasting sweetness.
Uji is thought to be the oldest tea producing region in Japan. It is thought that during the 12th century, the monk Eisai brought tea seeds from China to Japan. Which were planted in the areas surrounding Uji, Kyoto. It is considered to be the birthplace of Uji Cha and with it, Japanese tea culture.
Brew Guide Per Cup:
Preheat the brewing vessel & cups.
Tea 1 teaspoon (3g)
Water 65-70*c // 300ml
Brew time 1-2 minutes
Reinfuse leaves 2 / 3 times to personal taste.
Increasing water temperature with each infusion.
