Long, large tightly twisted needle like leaves, comprising of one leaf and a bud. Deep burnt browns and golden greyish tones in colour. Once brewed the wet leaves give an aromatic combination of fruits and floral notes. The tea soup is a very satisfying warm golden colour. Rich and rounded flavours, full the uniqueness of provenance sharing a sweetness with dian hong bud tea. Bringing out depth and complexities in the flavour of fruits and roasted warmth through infusions.
A spring tea! Harvest taking place between April and May. Grown in central southwest Yunnan at an elevation of approximately 1800m using large leaf varities.
Brew Guide Per Cup:
Tea 1 teaspoon (3g)
Water 90-100*c // 300ml
Time 2-3 minutes
Reinfuse leaves to personal taste
*Recommended without milk
Brew Guide - Gong Fu Style:
Tea 3-5g
Water per 100ml
At 100*c for the rinse & 1st infusion,
95*c for the following 3 infusions,
90*c when the leaves have fully opened up.
Time 20 seconds + recommended but adjust to personal taste.
