The act of drinking Tea and the surrounding rituals are centred on connecting with nature and being a part of the larger natural world, changing with and appreciating the seasons. We explore the interaction of these materials and the deep feelings and connections back to nature that they evoke.

Wood Fired Ceramics by Popalini & Jezando

Working collaborately in North Devon, Popalini & Jezando create functional hand thrown stoneware pieces that are both contemporary, yet steeped in ancient traditions of the area with eastern influence. Their respect for shape, form and their natural approach culminates in an excitingly balanced style.

Stoneware Vessels by Nicola Gillis

Nicola is a Brighton based Ceramicist producing functional stoneware with a bold and simplistic approach that serves to create a rustic yet elegant style, her work seeks to bridge a connection between maker and user through exploring oxides, dark slips, found clay and local ash that reflects the natural decay and erosion, exterior elements and ageing patinas out there in the natural world.
