Approximate measurements: 7cm height x 8cm diameter. 140ml.

A stunning wood fired stoneware Yunomi, created with great skill and care in a classic form of balanced proportion, holding comfortably in the hand. Glazed with tenmoku and nuka by combing these two glazes a stunning feathering effect has occurred, reminiscent of a waterfall hence our naming. The dark tenmoku on the surface is bold and striking, contrasting beautifully with the pale bluish white of the nuka inside. The surface has a super smooth feel and soft shine. A decent size footed yunomi that shows off the tea soup perfectly and is a joy to drink from.

Each handmade and unique, therefore slight variations in shape, size and glaze will occur. Handwash recommended.

Charlie Collier creates functional hand thrown stoneware pieces that have an effortless simplicity and beauty to them made to enhance occasions and enrich our daily lives. Admiring the philosophy, that pots are ‘born, not made’ Charlie follows an organic approach to the creative process with the clay, paying particular detail to shape and form and instinctively knowing at which point a form is complete. Previously honing his skills and experience at Whichford Pottery and alongside its founder, Jim Keeling and a group of Japanese potters from Bizen, to build and fire with a Anagama woodfiring Kiln at Wytham Woods in Oxford. Charlie is now based at the Kigbeare Kiln Project near Okehampton, Devon.
