A smooth, bright glaze gives the mug an airy, calming feel contrasting nicely with earthy tones of the stoneware clay that features a leafy, foliage design in wax relief, both these elements together create a very tactile surface. It’s a joy to hold and drink from with a style that’s very easy going and approachable with superb functionality. 

We first met Sarah when we opened the shop in 2017 and have long admired her work.
Based in Exeter and currently working from her home studio, Sarah is entirely self-taught and started to work with clay back in 2014. Developing work that strikes a balance of illustrative design and functional form with a strong style. Being passionate about all parts of the creative process, her work is always carefully considered and locally famous for the use of gold lustre and wax relief designs. Each one is hand painted, making them completely unique and Sarah really values the time invested in each piece.

Each handmade and unique, therefore slight variations in shape, size and glaze will occur. Handwash recommended.
