A rarity of special leaves and pressed process usually reserved for againg whites & puerh. Each square is 5g of pressed dancong tea; 'Dancong' meaning Single Bush, traceable back to a single bush/tree of group of bushes/trees.
The mix of dark brown and golden large leaves give a natural sweet aroma, opening and loosening once brewed giving big fruity notes and fresh orchid aromas. The tea soup is golden in colour. A smooth, sweet, fruity taste of peaches and rounded depth with a complex mouthfeel giving a lasting combination of florals and honey sweetness.
Harvested in Spring 2023, at approximately 400m elevation, picking 2-3 half matured leaves from tea bushes of a Shui Xian cultivar that are around 40 years old grown on Phoenix Mountain, skilfully crafted by Tea Master Song Lin & family.
Brew Guide Per Cup:
Tea 1 square (5g)
Water 80-90ºc // 300ml
Time 1-2 minutes
Reinfuse leaves x 3 to personal taste.
Brew Guide - Gong Fu Style:
Tea 1 square (5g)
Water per 100ml
At 95ºc for the rinse & 1st infusion,
90ºc for the following 3 infusions,
85ºc when the leaves have fully opened up.
Time 20 seconds + recommended but adjust to personal taste.
